Hi William, yes those files are kind of mysterious. Some are related to the C compiler/linker, and the others are related to remoteproc. I used the examples from the PRU Support Package as a template. The Makefile (which is really simple) has to be aware of these files.
It was pretty much plug-and-chug, as I followed the example patterns and there were no issues. It would be good to understand them better, especially later if I start tweaking the kernel modules or creating new ones. I'm probably need to ask the folks at TI for some comments on the functions of these files, and then write it up in an expanded Remoteproc chapter.
