The odd thing is that the issue does not occur with the 4.4.30-ti-r66 kernel I built using yakbuild: https://gist.github.com/pdp7/740c5472ae13e52787f37be0484241f6/#gistcomment-1932257 However, 4.4.30-ti-r66 is a problem when installed via apt-get.
