Hello,

I am trying to establish communication using the UART on the BBBW (brand
new from the box, loaded with Debian 8) but no luck so far. I am familiar
with the BBB having a bone cape manager and the necessity to export an
overlay. It does not seem to be the case on the BBBW and the command "ls
/dev/ttyO*" displays 5 devices.
I did a simple test using minicom (command "minicom -b 9600 -o -D
/dev/ttyO1"), wiring P9_24 to P9_26 (UART1) typing characters from the
keyboard but no transmission. I tried wiring P9_13 to P9_11 (UART4) and got
the same negative result.
I would really appreciate if someone could advise. Thank you very much,

Jerome
