This instability observed on out-of-the-box BBBW, possibly after a period of inactivity:
wl1271_sdio mmc2:0001:2: sdio write failed (-110) wlcore: ERROR firmware boot failed despite 3 retries wlan0: failed to remove key (0, ...) from hardware (-5) which, of course, disables networking. This error appears in several TI threads, but I didn't see any reports of fixes. Also this: http://www.variscite.com/support-forum/viewtopic.php?t=292 Has anyone in userland dealt with this? Is it systemic or a hardware failure? # uname -a Linux beaglebone 4.4.30-ti-r64 #1 SMP Fri Nov 4 21:23:33 UTC 2016 armv7l GNU/Linux There is more in the syslog, nearly 1000 lines during the minute wlan0 comes down which I can post if anyone is interested.
