[beagleboard] Copying a .jpg file

[pjinvision]

Trying to copy a .jpg file from an SD card (mmcblk0p1) to 
/home/debian/tempdir to change the background on the desktop but can't find 
a simple way to do it. 

Any help would be appreciated.
