Hi ,
I have the BB black Rev C with the latest release of debian. I am going
through Derek Malloy's excellent book and can not connect to the internet
through USB. My laptop is running Windows 10 64-bit.

With Putty I can ping 192.168.7.1 and 192.168.7.2 and get a clean response.
I can do the same on my windows laptop in a cmd window..

My laptop has only a wifi connection to my internet router. Here is a photo
of the device sharing window:

The Ethernet adapter Ethernet 2 has IPv4 address 192.168.7.1. ipconfig
shows an Ethernet adapter Ethernet but it is listed as media disconnected.

I tried turning off Windows Defender and that did not change things. The
Ethernet 2 is using Linux USB Ethernet/RNDIS Gadget, so I guess that's the
private network. How do I set up sharing so the private network will see
the internet??

Thanks
