I'm pretty much shooting in the dark here, but could this have anything to
do with it? I don't see a /dev/ttyGS0

debian@beaglebone:/etc$ systemctl status [email protected][email protected] - Serial Getty on ttyGS0
   Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/[email protected]; enabled;
vendor preset: enabled)
   Active: inactive (dead)
     Docs: man:agetty(8)
           man:systemd-getty-generator(8)
           http://0pointer.de/blog/projects/serial-console.html

Apr 27 18:16:17 beaglebone systemd[1]: Dependency failed for Serial Getty
on ttyGS0.
Apr 27 18:16:17 beaglebone systemd[1]: [email protected]: Job
[email protected]/start failed with result 'dependency'.
