It sounds like you refer to a thread, but I don't see the link. I too am more than a little lost. I have written a quick and dirty script to parse my bank's transactions, and format them exactly like I would expect to see them in a beancount file. I'm not sure how to link this with any of the other examples of ingest though. I'm pretty sure the script's functions would not be useful in the actual ingest flow.
