Oon-Ee; I think that this is an artefact of the date restriction you have put in place with Fava. If you look at your Balance Sheet in Fava with nothing entered into the date / time dialog you see something like: ( http://localhost:5000/beancount/balance_sheet/?conversion=units&charts=false )
I see: https://imgur.com/a/XDQtepe Which is the expected result in 'my mind'. If you limit your Balance Sheet to just 2021 http://localhost:5000/beancount/balance_sheet/?conversion=units&charts=false&time=2021 You will see things change as you describe. Now I have Equity being brought into 2021 from 2020 transactions (~7430 SGD worth). https://imgur.com/a/AT30wr8 This is working as expected as the Balance Sheet will report on the time interval you request and 'roll / summarise' prior transactions into the Equity Accounts as appropriate. Hope this helps Alan Here's the entirety of the bean file I used for this example. plugin "beancount.plugins.auto" option "operating_currency" "SGD" option "operating_currency" "USD" 2020-11-15 * "Purchase USD with SGD" Assets:Equities:IBKR:USD 7848.00 USD @@ 10577.93 SGD Expenses:Bills:BankCharges 2.00 USD Assets:Equities:IBKR:USD -2.00 USD Assets:Equities:IBKR:SGD -10577.93 SGD 2020-11-17 * "Purchase USD with SGD" Assets:Equities:IBKR:USD 1.67 USD @@ 2.24 SGD Assets:Equities:IBKR:SGD -2.24 SGD 2021-03-31 * "Purchase USD with SGD" Assets:Equities:IBKR:USD 5524.00 USD @ 1.34495 SGD Expenses:Bills:BankCharges 4.00 USD Assets:Equities:IBKR:USD -4.00 USD Assets:Equities:IBKR:SGD -7429.50 SGD 2021-04-05 * "Sweep remaining SGD to USD" Assets:Equities:IBKR:SGD -0.22 SGD Assets:Equities:IBKR:USD 0.1611 USD @ 1.34175 SGD On Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 2:05:36 AM UTC+1 Oon-Ee Ng wrote: > Wait things differ based on whether they're current or previous year?
