I'm working with v3, and it seems that bean-report, bean-web, and Fava are all v2 only. bean-query works with v3, so I think that means that instead of taking an existing high-level reporting framework and adapting it to my needs, I am probably going to be working bottom-up building BQL queries.
Fortunately I don't think what I want to do is so complex. Mostly I need to report gains and losses for each asset sale, bucketed into short and long term, grouped by tax year. The main complication is that I really want to produce a report which: (1) contains the information needed to validate correct PnL computation, i.e. lot bookings that show cost, snapshots of lot inventories, etc., and (2) will remain human-readable with hundreds of transactions and hundred-lot inventories The docs at https://beancount.github.io/docs/beancount_query_language.html are very good and I can probably work this out myself, but if anyone has any recipes or recommendations, or alternatives to consider, I'd love to hear. thanks, eric -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Beancount" group.
