I think what makes Isabekov's contribution special is the fact, that he puts a bridge from beancount to Jupyter notebooks and pandas. Taking into account all the ecosystem of tools, developed for Python in relation to data visualization and analysis, I think think this has a very big potential, especially amount the ones involved in data science. The fact that VScode supports, Jupyter, python and has a plugin for beancount allows one to effectively create own custom version of Fava.
