Here are some ideas I've considered, note that I'm a beginner at all of this


   - Split the transaction into two, one for the cash account and one for 
   the securities account, adding a clearing account. This way I guess I 
   should be able to use account tags at the transaction level.
   - Stop using fava. Perhaps using bean-query would make it simple to 
   create reports regardless of solution
