Hi everyone, I adapted the RPM spec file from Fedora a bit and put it into my git repository (on the topic/rpm branch).
http://github.com/abh/beanstalkd/commits/topic/rpm With this you can just run "rpmbuild -ta beanstalkd-1.2.tar.gz" on at least Fedora and RHEL/CentOS and it'll return an appropriate RPM file. It also sets up a beanstalkd user and installs and configures an init.d script.
