I tried tube name "a-b+1/;.c.$()/()", and it worked for me :

telnet 127.0.0.1 11300
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
use a-b+1/;.c.$()/()
USING a-b+1/;.c.$()/()
