There is a bunch of new code for the binlog feature, but it's pretty
well isolated. If you don't use persistence, 1.4 is similar to 1.3,
with bug fixes.

1.4.2 fixes a bug in the binlog code and only applies to users of 1.4 or 1.4.1.

However, 1.4 itself contains bug fixes.

I doubt there will ever be a 1.3.x release, since there is so little
risk in upgrading to 1.4.
