As far as I can see there are no stalled jobs in any of queues - i.e.
each queue's length drops to 0 eventually every couple of seconds.

We are hoping to switch to beanstalkd for our job queue processing and
persistence is important to us. Can I help you with this fix? If you
think it would speed things up, please provide me with pointers about
where to look and what to fix and I'll try fixing it myself.
