We use beanstalkd at Blitline.com (we do image processing in the cloud). We 
handle many millions of images a month and have beanstalkd as our primary 
queuing mechanism. We haven't reached beanstalkd's limit and I don't think 
we are even close.

Fast, simple, and dependable... we love beanstalkd
