Chuckles and Grins ~ Boy Scouts of America Book 1928!
<http://www.rememberedbooks.com/>
Chuckles and Grins is a hardback book, printed in 1928 by The Boy Scouts of
America. These stories were taken from the antique issues of Boy's Life and
made into a fun book as a Boy Scout Year Book. The best of the stories that
appeared in the magazine during the 1920's is all right here! Not only
that, but you'll also get the illustrations. The 224 pages include: "After
Taps, A Mean March Wind, Not in the Zoo, The Return of Tom Snow, Just Born
Lazy, Bugs in the Game, The Owl Puts One Over, Diary of a Boy Inventor, The
Pirate Galleon" and so many others. You will love this vintage book. It is
in fair shape for its age: All pages and stories are intact with clean pages
that are yellowing on edges, cover has been through a trial with spine down
to the cardboard-very worn, inside binding is beginning to split but hasn't
yet-all is still intact! The book has one stamp inside and the owner's
autograph on end pages. What a priceless book to own! Auction Starting at

Remember MOBILE ~ Caldwell Delaney Book HBDJ 1969
<http://www.rememberedbooks.com/>
Remember Mobile is a hardback book with dust jacket, written by Caldwell
Delaney, reprinted in 1969. This book contains nearly 250 pages that trace
the first capital of French Louisiana, to the direct patronage of Louis XIV
of France! Here is the fascinating story of this oldest French city on the
Gulf Coast, from the days when she ruled more territory than Alexander the
Great conquered, to her present status (as of 1969) of thriving American
seaport. Bienville, Cadillac, Aaron Burr, Andrew Jackson, Jefferson Davis,
are but a few of those who play parts in Mobile's past. The bitter
patriotism of colonial rivalry, gaudy splendor of the Cotton Kingdom, happy
abandon of Mardi Gras: all these are in the story of Mobile. The book is
in very good condition with black and white penciled drawings, dust jacket
has protected covers well-some slight tears on jacket, pages very clean and
bright, sturdy binding, written inscription from owner on inside page-not
bad for a book that is a very good read and nearly 40 years old! Auction
