The (alpha) distro's build process is structured in a way that makes it simple for users to build and deploy all beehive samples (netui, wsm) in the same way, using the same build scripts. However, I think that will change because we'll probably want individual build.xml files per wsm sample (which may or may not be called from a common "master build file").
We also need to have a build mechanism for the SVN repository that is the same as/similar to the process for the distro. As Steve said, the process outlined in the documentation is currently only applicable to the distro.
