I suggest renaming dbControl to something like "tutorialDbControl" to 
distinguish it from the real db control if we keep it.

I found the simplicity of the dbControl to be helpful in learning about
control.  

I suggest we keep the dbControl in the beehive but state in the
documentation that the dbControl is intended as a tutorial type example
and not a complete database controller.
