I've noticed there seems to be confusion between the "Affects Versions" field and the "Fix Versions" field:
Affects Version(s): this field indicates the versions that exhibit the behaviour of this issue. One could read it as a superset of "version that the issue was discovered in". Fix Versions: for open issues, this indicates the version that this issue SHOULD be fixed in (for resolved/closed issues, it indicates the version that the issue IS fixed in). This is the field that you should be setting on open issues to "V1Beta" if you feel it needs to be addressed for Beta, othewise it should be set to "V1" (indicating we will fix it in time for V1 GA).
