Hi! Do you mean that you don’t have a beets database, but some files have good 
metadata (fetched by beets) already embedded?

If I were you, I’d import the whole thing using -A (non-autotagged mode) and 
then re-import the poorly-tagged stuff using something like `beet import -L 
mb_albumid::^$` to find just the albums that don’t have IDs. You might try 
searching the docs for “reimporting”.

It’s best to operate by album when you have full albums and by track if you 
don’t.
