I have quite a few rips fthat only contain the multi-channel or non-surround recordings from a hybrid-SACD or DVD-A where both existed. For instance, the Complete Soundtracks for the Lord of the Rings contain 3 CDs of stereo music + a surround DVD of that same music in the same order . I have only the surround music in my collection, but when i try to tag it in beets, it assumes that i'm matching up the first three CDs instead of the DVD. This same problem happens with quite a few hybrid SACDs and DVD-As wherein i have the surround music and not the stereo. What would be a reasonable solution to this? Could we ask beets to provide an option for an offset? So that in the case of the Lord of the Rings above, i could tell beets to offset it's tagging by 37 tracks? Scanning for duplicate track titles if the source is a DVD-A or a SACD and then asking which we want would be optimal, but that seems like too much to ask for. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "beets" group.
