Whoa; that sounds like it could be a really interesting project!

Have you started any documentation for the project? For someone only marginally 
familiar with React Native, how would they go about building and running either 
of the versions?

It would also be useful to understand a little more about the architecture of 
the code. Is there shared infrastructure between the two versions (iOS and 
Android) or are they entirely separate worlds, for example?

I’m curious about how this project will work out, and I’m sure the community 
would be happy to contribute. As far as “adopting” the project as an “official” 
beets subproject: we can consider that, but it would be a bit more of an 
involved project. We’d need to reach a standard in terms of code quality and 
documentation so that other people can help maintain the project. The first 
step would be sorting out the licensing situation, for example (MIT would be 
preferred to match beets itself, and that involves reconciling with the 
vendored code that’s currently in the repository).
