That’s an interesting question. One tactic you might use would exploit the fact that m3u playlists are (usually) just plain text files with paths to music files in them. For that reason, a crazy pipeline like this might work:
$ xargs -d'\n' beet modify category=special < list_of_paths.m3u I haven’t tested that, but if you read up on xargs’s docs, you might be able to turn it into something that actually works. :) Adrian > On Sep 20, 2017, at 11:48 AM, Daniele Giglio <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi, > I've a playlist.m3u that I want to insert or import into a special category. > Unlucly 'import' does't support contextual tagging, neither modify support > *.m3u file as input, only queries. > Any clue? > Thanks in advance. > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "beets" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to [email protected]. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/d/optout. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "beets" group.
