Okay, so let's make it "off topic." I am against big brother snooping into private lives. But in these trying times, I am open to ideas to curb crimes of zealotry and hate, especially when based on religion. Simply saying no would have little or no impact to Congress at this time.
If policing fanatics is the driving force behind the legislation, let's open the forum for ideas of an alternative. After all, we are programmers (meaning innovators, ahem). I'm proceeding this way: we copyright a software; sell it to an industry giant that has the infrastructure to provide support and customer service and most of all, licensure partnerships with hardware manufacturers for immediate implementation. It's up to everyone what to do with the proceeds. As to what that software will do to "find" criminals, I'm still cooking it up in my head. Meantime, let the ideas roll... I'll read and get back to the list (even thought this is way OT...) -Sx- PS - Maybe we could use various Perl PDF module(s) to clean it up and bring this back on topic? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
