Ok, perhaps I should have expressed myself a bit clearer - I wrote "not inherently backwards compatible" which still is true IMHO - and especially the other way around (loading say a 3.8 IS into a 3.7 image). And I said "For example, loading projects from 3.7 into 3.8 causes problems (due to the new wide String stuff).". That was not correctly expressed.
