Considering that 'uname' returns 'Darwin', and on my 10.4.9 Intel
'uname -a' returns:

I think it should be safe to assume yes.

(I'm not sure how to decipher this, as I am running 10.4.10 ...)
I'm running the Carbon VM - are you running the Unix one?
