Ubuntu 7.04 seems to have Squeak with a 3.8 image available. However, because I occasionally build my own VMs, I prefer to keep everything related to a particular project in the same directory - VM, plugins, image, sources. By not installing Squeak in /usr/local (or some other global place) I know that my VM isn't pulling in plugins from elsewhere. Michael.
