You should have received a confirmation email with a link. When you click on the link you will see a button that says subscribe to email list. Make sure you press that button to subscribe. Then you can set your password.
Check your spam folder to see if the email showed up.

After going through the "subscribe" on the Squeak-dev info page and waiting overnight, I have received no confirmation email.
Entering the email address and password to visit the subscribers list is met with "authentication failed"
Looks like I still need some assistance.
