New to the list/character user interface question

I'm new to the list.  I wanted to introduce myself and ask a quick question.  I've 
been tinkering with Perl off and on for a while now.  Can someone recommend a module 
which would be good to create some simple character based user interfaces?  I know, 
most people perfer GUI interfaces.  I like the old fashioned console interfaces.  I'm 
getting into the Perl DBI and I would like to create some data entry screens to use 
with a Postgres database I have.
