You can find a suitable 'perl' binary to install on your system at
'activestate.com'. Also, I've found the following two books a great deal of
help:
Perl A Beginner's Guide
R. Allen Wyke & Donald B. Thomas
Published by: Osborne
Learning Perl
by: Randal L. Schwartz & Tom Christiansen
Published by: O'REILLY
Also, on a Windows system, you can use 'notepad' or 'wordpad' to create your
code, and the DOS shell to execute it.
