It isn't complicated. It is a matter of a) sending an email to the
correct address, or b) using the web interface on learn.perl.org

That's annoying. Since many already have unusually long sigs, and don't
trim their replies, this would just add more junk. The instructions are
given when a) you subscribe, b) you visit the website, and c) in the
weekly FAQ posting to the list itself. How many more ways are needed?
