You're right - I graduated with a CIS degree 7 years ago and had to take 2
years of COBOL. Before I transferred schools it was Pascal, fortunately I
only had a semester of that.

While the COBOL itself has been meaningless, at least I was brainwashed with
some good programming practices, and learned how to develop applications as
a team - not an easy trick ;)
