Dear List,

I have installed the required module using PPM(Perl
Package Manager) and never had any problem for the
past 3 weeks. I didn't even bother to install using
the manual way until I had to update the latest
version of WWW-SEARCH 2.23. I can't seem to verify and
upgrade it using PPM, why is that ? Can't it
synchronize with the updates in CPAN??

Perhaps this may seem really really silly to all of
you. I sincerely dunno what's going wrong here and I
have no one to ask and confirm whether am doing
right.I can't afford to mess up with my home PC since
I need to complete my project from home.

I have tried this as detailed by many ppl . Let me
list down my steps:
1. I extracted the .zip file into c:\perl\folder
2. So I'll have the following -
c:\perl\folder\www-search-2.23
3. In command prompt c:\>
cd\perl\bin\folder\www-search-2.23

c:\perl\bin\folder\www-search-2.23>perl Makefile.PL
error: Bad command or file name

I believe I have to extract every single file into the
c:\perl\bin to run it but it's going to mess up the
Perl system files, right ? and I don't wish to do so.

Pls help me on this since I can't try out anything
which needs new modules and upgrades.Fyi, I 'm running
Perl on Win98.

Thanks in advance:)

Rgds,
