first off, please don't top post. put your comments below the edited
quote of the previous post. notice how i did it.

secondly, did you read this thread? you can't call sendmail without a
path since it usually resides in non-standard dirs unlikely to be in
your path.

the original problem was already solved (he read the handle instead of
writing to it).

this list is open to all comments but please make sure you read all the
posts in a thread before adding comments. in general if you are not sure
about your answer (and you said 'maybe it will work'), you shouldn't try
to answer problems here. there are plenty of experts on this list who
help. if you are not sure you can always ask more questions about the
current thread.
