I believe perlform is used to format text in pages, using fixed-width (in characters) columns, keeping track of pages, etc. Useful for printing to a line printer or sometimes to the screen. I studied it in order to convert Test::Harness->Test::Run away from it. Most people don't need to know perlform and the minority who do should use Perl6::Form instead as recommended by Perl Best Practices: http://search.cpan.org/dist/Perl6-Form/ Also see: http://perl-begin.org/uses/text-generation/ Regards, Shlomi Fish -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Shlomi Fish http://www.shlomifish.org/ "Humanity" - Parody of Modern Life - http://shlom.in/humanity <rindolf> She's a hot chick.
