Using to do your homework is abuse. Using it to ask about homework isn't. The difference how much effort you put in. Some guidelines:

1.  Say it's homework from the start.

2.  Include the code you have so far.

3.  Include some input data.

4. State what you want for the output. Those who are interested can run the code with the data to see what goes wrong.

5. Don't expect an immediate response. Everyone here is a volunteer and are often busy doing other things.

Please note that everything posted is advice; it may not work and you are not force to take it.
