My memory always fails me regarding the result of a Perl pattern match. It depends on
- m// or s/// - scalar or list context - /g qualifier ... and I am not certain that that is all! The details are in perldoc perlre but my question is whether the list thinks a more ordered document would be useful? I am happy to expand on and publish my pencilled notes, but other people's input would be invaluable, and I would welcome other related suggestions.
