I have to apologize for my unclear formulation. It is indeed not a UNIX command but a UNIX programm being controlled via command line. My perlscript produced too long a output-list to be passed on to the following command line program. But without exactly knowing the syntax of "a2ps" you might be able to use the list for the -a option (specify pages to print).
