Can't go wrong with the Camel Book: _Programming Perl_, 3rd edition, from O'Reilly publishing. The _Perl Cookbook_, also available from O'Reilly, is also an excellent buy. I have both (in addition to _Learning Perl_, the Llama Book), and between them I am almost always able to get the answer to my questions.
