These questions are off-topic, and John that's
a strong way to reply... (but perhaps deserved).  If,
as I suspect he is a student then the following
information might be of interest.

PLAGIARISM: 

Any student (or staff), of any University, submitting
work and research which is not their own is guilty of
plagiarism.  Plagiarism is a VERY SERIOUS offence in
academia, and may even lead to criminal charges (fraud).

You do yourself NO FAVOURS by repeatedly asking on this
Mailing-list non-perl questions.  At least a few of your
classmates will subscribe to this mailing-list, and you
are at risk of being reported to your University court.



This is a fairly high traffic mailing-list, and such
off-topic questions are likely to appeal to a VERY small
minority.  Most are trying to learn Perl, not Computer
Science theory/technology.  You should look elsewhere.
