I am a newbie to perl and linux and i am having trouble with my apache server and cgi scripts.
I know that there is nothing wrong with the scripts so I wonder if anyone else has come across this. when i try to execute a cgi script i get an HTTP 500 error and my error log says something like: [Tue Feb 19 02:23:39 2002] [error] (2)No such file or directory: exec of /var/www/cgi-bin/admin.cgi failed What is this (2)no such file or directory error talking about? i know there is nothing wrong with my directory or file structure. it always happens if i try with a downloaded apache from apache.org but not always with the redhat 7.2 distro version (unless i change the file root, and no, it doesn't start working if i change it back). has anyone else ever had to solve this before.
