Hi everybody, I set up a database (MySQl) for our intranet that holds all the articles written by our journalists. You can do the usual things edit articles, insert new articles and search for articles. The search function is a very plain, full text search for single or multiple words, and searches, or searches. The search-results are displayed in chronological order. What's desired by the users is a kind of further qualification of the searchresults. Something like relevance, what ever that may be. I' m thinking of something like wheighting the results by occurrence of searchword (30 % relevance, 24 % relevance).
It would be nice if someone could give me a hint in where I could learn about these kind of more advanced searches Marcus
