I am not sure if you have been to the SOAP::Lite homepage (http://www.soaplite.com), however, they have a User Guide which I found fairly easy to follow. It can be found at http://guide.soaplite.com/. It gives some basic examples of setting up both SOAP clients and servers. Trust this helps.
