I want to set up a perl script under W2K to watch a set of directories for new files.
The new files should be TIF files scanned into the directories. I have a couple of 3rd party utils that Perl can use to convert the TIFs to PDF via the command line. I'm hoping to use a daemonised Perl script (like MRTG, the network bandwidth graphing util) to watch the directories for new TIF files to act on. Another secondary question would be "How do I daemonise a script?" under W2K? Regs Rupert Heesom Asst Distribution Engineer Adventist World Radio
