I'm going to have to whole-heartedly agree with Toby Stuart's post; find existing shopping cart software that fits your needs, or perhaps a vendor that will supply and support one. Putting together a shopping cart program is not a simple process as there are many things to consider. To be honest, it doesn't appear you're familiar enough with the processes involved to really embark on this right now. Do you and your employer (I assume you're doing this on behalf of an employer) a favor, and find something already implemented.
