you might want to look at the manpage again for vacation
on linux/darwin or 'man forward' on solaris.
traditionally I have seen that in double quotes
"|/home/text/text.pl"
The other part of the problem may be that you need
to make sure that this is actually ON the mail
server host - since it may be collecting mail
there for domain, but does not have access to
the actual home directories - hence never sees
that there is a '.forward' file in
/home/test/.forward
