I'm not having a problem entering the interactive shell. I just don't have cmd hist when I get in it. > which puts you into a readline interface. Well, apparently there is something more to it, since as I mentioned in the post you quoted, I have Term::ReadLine, Term::ReadLine::Gnu and the latest CPAN shell 1.65 as well as OS readline libraries yet I get no cmdline history in CPAN shell. Is Term::ReadKey a requirememt for command line history? Thats the first I've heard it mentioned . I do have it installed anyway but still no history. How can I debug this? Are there env settings that can muck it up? Is it supposed to just work when I call perl -MCPAN -e shell. I've been running a cpan shell for a year or two on occasion, and have yet to get a command line history. Must be something I have locally that is dorking it up. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
