Hello all,

I am dealing with some mail folders created in pine as files in standard mbox format. Most of these files open fine with my mbox parser program but there are one or 2 rogue files which contain some special characters because of which the program hangs

These files open up fine in pine but when I use the /bin/mail the mail program just hangs

Is there a script that clean up these files into standard unix mbox format

Don't know if there is or isn't. But you might be able to roll your own fairly easily with the Mail::Box modules. They allow you to manipulate messages in mail boxes very easily. As to whether pulling a message into the module and the back out will clean it up is hard to say. If it is not standards compliant hard to say what the module would do with it.
